Paste HTML into a large editor in the property pane and see it on the page straight away.

Safe by design

Scripts, iframes, embedded objects, forms, event handlers and javascript: links are removed before rendering.

Because the HTML is cleaned first, the site does not need custom scripts enabled.

How to install

  1. Download the package

    Download the free .sppkg file for Zen HTML Web Part from this page.

  2. Add it to your App Catalog

    A SharePoint administrator uploads the package to the tenant App Catalog and selects Deploy.

  3. Add the app to your site

    On your site, open Site contents, choose New, then App, and add the app.

  4. Add it to a page

    Edit a page, add the web part from the toolbox and set it up in the property pane.

Questions

Is this a replacement for the classic Script Editor web part?

It covers the most common use: adding formatted HTML to a page. It deliberately does not run JavaScript, which keeps pages safe and supported in modern SharePoint.

Do I need to enable custom scripts on my site?

No. The HTML is sanitised before it renders, so the web part works with custom scripts turned off, which is the SharePoint Online default.

Is this web part really free?

Yes. Zen Digital Systems provides Zen HTML Web Part free of charge to download and use in your organisation's SharePoint Online tenant.

Does it work with SharePoint Server on-premises?

It is built for SharePoint Online in Microsoft 365. If you need a version for SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, contact us and we can discuss it.

Can you customise it for our intranet?

Yes. We can adapt the design, add fields or build a fully custom version as part of our SPFx development service.
